Introducing Setra CEMS!

April 07, 2020

Setra's Continuous Environmental Monitoring Solution (CEMS) is an adaptive system of hardware and web-based software providing access to environmental data in real-time. Setra's proprietary CEMS software accepts flexible data inputs and integrates analog and digital hardware, providing a 24/7 centralized monitoring solution with user-friendly data visualizations. With CEMS, users not only monitor environmental data but also visualize trends and issue alarms, demonstrating patterns in data to influence strategic actions.

Applications for CEMS include but are not limited to:

  • Clean rooms
  • Compounding pharmacies
  • Laboratories
  • Isolation and treatment rooms
  • Operating rooms
  • Vivariums

Automatic data collection and report generation give users the ability to audit data and see exactly what occurred and when, easing some of the stress associated with quality control and regulatory compliance. The software keeps data readily available for a custom period of time and archives any measurement points that are no longer needed. Customizable escalation protocols for alarm notifications on critical measurement points provide alerts for users via SMS texts, emails, and the CEMS dashboard notifications. Highly scalable, CEMS can monitor multiple locations in one system, from single points in small installations to thousands of points in worldwide installations.

CEMS how it works

Data Inputs

CEMS can accept data input from an assortment of measurement sensors:

  • Temperature
  • Relative humidity
  • Pressure
  • Velocity (ACH)
  • Particulate Count
  • CO2
  • Door opens
  • Custom inputs

The CEMS software integrates both Setra and 3rd party sensors through a BACnet network so the adaptable system accommodates site specific needs. With Setra FLEX as a hub, CEMS securely communicates measurements via Wi-Fi, cellular, or LAN to either the SetraCLOUD or a closed on-premises server.
