Energy Cost Allocation
Granularity Down to the Breaker Level

Cost allocation refers to the use of meters and DAS to submeter and allocate energy usage by department or cost center with a campus or industrial facility. Allocating these costs provides accountability for energy use on campuses and allows businesses to accurate determine the cost of projects and services. For each building or department, the facility manager installs the necessary sensors and meters to isolate and measure the energy used by that department. On a monthly basis, the data from the DAS is analyzed to produce a cost for energy assignable to the department. For most energy and facility managers, there are benefits and payback to investing in the hardware and software to submeter campuses or industrial facilities.

Dual Voltage Inputs - Two Meters in One
  • Lower the cost per metering point
  • Measure two different services in one meter
  • Collect Data from Lighting loads & chillers on the same meter
  • Dual Voltage comes standard on SPM12 & SPM48 models

Minimize Conduit Spend & Labor
  • Housing rotates for straight conduit runs
  • Measure two different services in one meter
  • Collect Data from Lighting loads & chillers on the same meter
  • Dual Voltage comes standard on SPM12 & SPM48 models

Rethink the Way Metering is Done

Whether called Multi-Load, Multi Circuit, Multi Channel or even Branch Circuit energy metering, Setra’s line of power meters lower the cost per metering point and measures with more granularity than other metering solutions on the market.

  • Measure two different service levels with Dual Voltage inputs on the 12 or 48 Load meters)
  • Any combination of single, dual, or three-phase loads up to the CT count of the meter
  • Intuitively configure any application with on-board configuration portal

Selecting a Solution
as Easy as 1 - 2 - 3

1

Identify what's going to be metered

energy-management-applications

Look across the installation and identify the equipment that are to be measured to support energy strategy

Examples: Chillers, Lighting, AHU’s, Tenant Usage

2

Count up how many CT’s are needed

spm-accessories

Match the CT amperage to the breaker feeding the load or use Patrol Flex Coils (up to 1500A)

Single-Phase Service = 1CT
Split-Phase Service = 2 CT’s
Three Phase Service= 3 CT’s

3

Select Meter Part Number

setra-systems-power-meters

Take the CT count and select the meter with the right number by matching the CT’s with available inputs

SPM03EDN = 3 CT inputs
SPM12EDN = 12 CT inputs
SPM48EDN = 48 CT inputs
