Communications Set CT Values Read & Write Registers Communications Setup Firmware Update Setra Power Patrol Operating Instructions Setra Power Squad 24 Operating Instructions Firmware UpdateThe Firmware Update page allows you to update the software inside the PowerPatrol to check which version is currently operating. To check which firmware version the PowerPatrol is currently using, select one or more of the elements and click the Show Versions button. If the button is greyed out (disabled) then you need to establish a connection to the PowerPatrol first. Updating the software requires a file from SETRA, which has a name that typically ends with a ".hex" filename extension. Use the Browse button to locate and select the file to be sent to the PowerPatrol. Before updating the firmware, make sure that no RTU or master device is active on the ModBus network. If a firmware file has been selected and a connection to the PowerPatrol has been established, the Update button will be enabled and you can begin updating the firmware for one or more elements. If an error is reported keeping a firmware update from starting, try removing power from the PowerPatrol for 5 seconds and then trying again. While a firmware update is in progress, the program will not let you switch tabs or exit the program, to prevent the update from being corrupted. Cancelling the update will allow the program to exit or switching to other tabs. If a button is greyed out (disabled) and says that no device is connected, return to the communications tab and establish a connection with the meter, then try again.
