The Model 299 is designed for field termination of pressure transducers. Desiccant material contained within the cover, captures and condenses moisture through surface absorption, providing an effective barrier against the ingress of humidity into the pressue transducer's sensor.  Life expectancy of the Model 299 is approximatley 6 months, the desiccant can be regenerated by removing the cover and baking it in a 200 deg. F oven for 3 to 4 hours or until it returns to its dry state.
